Day 1: Arrive in Cambodia
Welcome to Siem Reap, the charming gateway to the temples of the Angkor complex! Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you will be greeted by your tour representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and some time to relax, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Explore Temples of Angkor Complex
After breakfast, begin your exploration of the Angkor complex with a visit to Angkor Wat, the greatest man-made wonder and the largest religious monument in the world. Next, head to the incredible jungle temple Ta Prohm, known for being partly overgrown by trees and gigantic roots.
Break for lunch, possibly returning to Siem Reap to seek shade and rest. When the day cools down, explore the ancient city of Angkor Thom, surrounded by massive walls. Enter the city through impressive gates carved with four giant stone faces. Visit the enigmatic faces of Bayon, located at the exact center of Angkor Thom. This city holds many attractive monuments and offers exceptional photo opportunities.
Conclude the day with a hike up Bakheng hill to enjoy breathtaking sunset. Return to the hotel to freshen up before dinner. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Tonle Sap Lake – APOPO’s Landmine Rats
Start your day with breakfast before heading to the Great Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Upon arrival, board a local wooden longboat to explore the floating villages and witness the unique lifestyle of the locals. You’ll see floating pig and fish farms, shops, a church, and many colorful homes. On your way back, visit Satcha, the Cambodian Handicrafts Incubation Center. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit Pouk Silk Farm to observe the traditional methods of Khmer silk production. You’ll see the entire process, from growing mulberry trees for the silkworms, breeding the worms, extracting the silk, spinning and refining it, to traditional dyeing and looming. Next, visit APOPO’s Landmine Rats to learn about their life-saving work.
After dinner, enjoy a spectacular circus show by Phare Ponleu Selpak. This hour-long performance combines traditional and modern theatre, music, dance, acrobatics, athleticism, juggling, and contortion, all beautifully choreographed to tell stories about Cambodian life and society. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4: Cultural Exchange
Your students will have various opportunities to interact with local people, aiming to broaden their understanding of Cambodian lifestyles and how they compare to life at home. Activities include:
Touring a local village
Sharing meals with the community
Experiencing farm life
Visiting a local school
Participating in traditional Khmer sports
Learning traditional dances
Cooking local dishes
This cultural exchange promises to be one of the most memorable and educational parts of the trip. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 5: Community Project
After breakfast, immerse yourself in rural Cambodian life by visiting local villages and engaging in a community service project. Your school can participate in various activities, choosing between smaller-scale or larger-scale projects, such as:
Educational support: Teaching English, providing stationery and school supplies.
Infrastructure projects: Building small roads for disadvantaged communities, constructing houses, renovating buildings, fixing kindergarten classrooms, painting classrooms, installing water tanks.
Support for vulnerable people: Caring for children at orphanages and assisting the disabled.
Supporting local farming efforts.
Creating sustainable recycling systems.
Health and hygiene: Sharing knowledge and providing basic necessities.

Day 6: Travel to Phnom Penh
After breakfast, begin your journey to Phnom Penh. Along the way, stop at the ancient bridge of Spean Praptos and the town of Skuon. Here, you can take a quick stroll around the market and see the local specialty of deep-fried tarantula, crispy bugs, crickets, or grasshoppers. You’ll reach Phnom Penh in the afternoon and check into your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day visiting the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former high school converted by the Khmer Rouge into a detention and torture center. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 7: Phnom Penh Sightseeing Tour
In the morning, explore the stunning Royal Palace, including the Throne Hall, the Royal Residence, the exquisite Silver Pagoda, and other impressive buildings. Continue on foot to the National Museum, a treasure chest of Khmer arts, sculptures, and artifacts.
Stop for lunch at a non-profit restaurant that works to improve and build the futures of former street children. Afterward, visit the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. Return to the hotel and relax.
In the evening, reflect on your journey through Cambodia with your Adventure Leader. Share your experiences, discuss what you’ve learned, and consider how the trip has impacted your understanding of the region and its people. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 8: Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, spend your last day in Cambodia relaxing before your onward journey. Depending on your flight time, you might want to shop for some last-minute gifts and souvenirs, explore the city, or just relax by the pool. We will drop you off at the airport for your departure from the Kingdom of Wonder.
